We do want to caution you about a group of journals known as "Predatory" journals. These are for-profit academic publishers that actively deceive researchers by charging high fees without providing editing or peer review services. While there are some sites that are attempting to compile lists of these journals, it is often challenging to discern what counts under this category, and new predatory journals are popping up all the time. Publishing in these journals not only has the potential to damage scientific integrity for a researcher, but for all peer-reviewed journals as well.
